Below are explanations regarding the type of information collected, what is done with that information, and how to correct or change it.
What information will Bandai collect?
While visiting the Bandai website, we may request personally identifiable information for the purpose stated on the page where the information is requested. Information we request, collect and/or store may include name, nickname, birth date, contact information (including address, phone number, and email address), gender, product interests, hobbies, photographs and parental contact information. We will contact the parent or guardian indicated to obtain consent and advise what types of personally identifiable information is collected and why any personally identifiable information is being collected. At no time is any personal information ever collected automatically. It is only collected when voluntarily provided and for children under 13, it is not collected without parental consent.
If an unsolicited request is submitted by a user under 13 years of age, his or her first name and email address is only kept for purposes of sending a response. None of the information will be used outside the scope of the original request made by the child. Once the reply is generated, the email address is deleted from our system.
Additional information, such as the web pages visited, links followed, and amount of time spent viewing content on the Bandai website, may be collected automatically and stored in a personally identifiable fashion, provided the child is a registered user of the Bandai website and parental consent has been obtained for users under 13.
Other information in aggregate, non-personal form may be automatically recorded by our web server to provide usage statistics and information so that we can provide a better experience at the Bandai website. This information is not personally identifiable.
Some of the online activities on our site may include polls or surveys that ask for information that is not personally identifiable, such as favorite color or character. We may also allow users to chat online but only by using predetermined words, phrases, and/or expressions. Users cannot submit text or information in free form using our chat function.
And, of course, we here at Bandai want to make sure everyone has fun, so we will not require children to surrender any information as a requirement to participate in any section of the website unless that information is essential to the function of that section.
